This mural is located in a beautiful four-season terrace overlooking the sea in the South of France. We based the banana trees on a pattern seen in the Beverly Hills hotel. In terms of design, it was more stylised than I’m accustomed to painting; it was fun and challenging to have different parameters to what I’m generally used to. What I love about this design in particular is that it brings the outdoors in, in a space that is somewhere not quite inside, not quite outside, creating an uplifting, natural, stylish and beautiful transition between the two.
